Dear ESPTSA Members,
To stay involved, to become involved, or just to get to know us – this is the VALUE of membership in Empire State PTSA. We have often said you don’t need to have a child in school to care about improving the lives of NY’s children, all children. This is at the heart of PTA’s non-exclusionary policy – Empire State PTSA models that belief and sustains our viability.
Empire State PTSA (ESPTSA) is a statewide unit formed in 1979 for those who may no longer be associated with their local school or PTA unit, or who do not have a PTA in their school or community and are advocates for children and youth. Members already belonging to local PTA units may also join the ESPTSA as a way of showing their support for the association as a whole.
Whether you are active in PTA or simply wish to keep up with current education and child welfare issues and trends, the leaders of our association are in the best possible position to see and communicate the “big picture” and the direction of the “whole association”. To enhance this opportunity, as a member of ESPTSA, you will have the option to purchase our quarterly periodical, New York Parent Teacher, which provides information and articles regarding the association’s work and priorities and event wrap-ups.
Please click here to view the ESPTSA brochure. Empire State PTSA membership is $10.00 per year. This includes an electronic subscription to the New York Parent Teacher periodical. Wouldn’t it be great to have every unit and council represented in the Empire State unit! Thank you so much for your consideration and all you do for PTA!
President, Empire State PTSA
